Ah! My Cosplay Soundtrack

Well, whether we like it or not AMC sort of has a reputation for song and dance. And that's not really surprising considering that to date our biggest cosplay groups have been centered around music. So we thought it'd only be fitting to include some of those songs here-- as well as the karaoke versions of a few we sang- because we know how hard it was to get them!

My Heart Iidasenai, Your Heart Tashikametai

My Heart Can't Express, Your Heart Wants to Make Sure

This Ah! My Goddess opening theme is a really happy fun (catchy) song. We sang the short version as the goddesses at Anime Expo 1998, while Skuld and Urd were fighting over the microphone.

Geki! Teikoku kagekidan!

Attack! Imperial Floral Assault Team!

Another opening theme, this one to Sakura Taisen. At Project A-kon, once again Allie and Tiffy had a fight over the microphone. Only this time, with the introduction of a malevolent presence on stage (Hi Wayne!!) we had a fight scene. Well, the guys fought, we just sang =^_^= Another happy and catchy song.

Hameln Instrumental

Download full version

The Hameln song that we affectionately nicknamed "The Song" to the point that I don't even remember what the actual title is. It's a cute instrumental piece that plays during the movie when Hamel is using his magic music to turn Flute into a robot and kill all the zombies that are coming at them. That's kind of how our skit went, only instead of killing zombie things our Hamel made us do stupid dance steps from square-dancing to stag leaps to the can-can, and well you get the idea.

Fanime Final Fantasy Fiasco Soundtrack

Soundtrack clips

Our Final Fantasy skit was going to require a lot of co-ordinating, and seeing as how the members had never fully met until a couple hours before the cosplay, doing the fights to the backdrop of music seemed the best idea. Hence Henry spliced together this compilation of Final Fantasy VIII tunes into a 3' long soundtrack to which our skit was based around. It starts out with a silly theme, then turns into battle music. After about a minute and half of that shifts to a Laguna theme, and then into the victory music. The very end is then a couple clips from "Eyes of Me" by Faye Wong.

Himiko-den Heavenly Talent Battle 2K Soundtrack

Pure Snow by Yuko Sasaki

Full Version
Full Karaoke Version
This soundtrack to the Himiko-den skit is possibly the most advanced we've done. As AX wouldn't have microphones this year we decided to pre-record the dialouge and splice it into the OP song to the Himiko-den anime "Pure Snow" by Yuko Sasaki. The voices of each character are done by the respective cosplayer, except Jon wasn't availible at the time, so Henry voiced in for the Kutani narration. We wished that this sountrack could have been longer, but the 2 minute skit rule at Expo limited us pretty severely.

Malice Jamboree Soundtrack

This soundtrack is mix of two different songs to reflect our skit that went along with it. The first 20 seconds are the first ones from the "Sailor Stars Theme" opening song to Sailor Moon Sailor Stars. Then the music fades into "Illuminati" by Malice Mizer, and finishes off the 3 minute long track with a version of the song that Raya-chan seamlessly truncated to by shorter, gooo- Raya!!! Anyways- the bright to dark transition mirrored the Malice Jamboree costume.

Magic Knight Rayearth and Love Revolution 21

Love Revolution 21 by Morning Musume

This soundtrack was tacked onto the end of our Celestial Magic Knight Rayearth skit at AX 2001, where we all danced together to Love Revolution 21 with Dir en Grey. The Magic Knight Rayearth opening music starts off the skit.

Chun Li's Angels

Tiffany and Allie presented this Chun-Li's Angels skit with Henry and Wayne at SDCC 2001. The Charlies Angels action theme is part of the skit! I think it's pretty cool. =) It's from the Charlie's Angels CD.
